JAKOB MARTIN: "Listener Supported" Campaign

Dear Music Fans,

Jakob Martin, our resident opening artist at Y-1 Studios, recently launched a “listener supported” campaign. In order to release his new album without the aid of a record label, Jakob is reaching out to fans and the community in an effort to help raise the needed funds. Jakob’s goal is $18,000 (a significant amount of money, but modest by music industry standards). The money will go to mastering and pressing his album, hiring a publicist to generate press, and other tasks that a record label would typically do to get music out to a wider audience.

Jakob has been integral in bringing Y-1 Studios to life and helping us grow. I know we’ve all enjoyed listening to his music, and it would be great if our community could rally behind him and help him reach this goal. Anyone who donates at least $10 will get the album for free, and those who donate even more will get other great gifts. To see a list of gifts and contribute, visit http://jakobmartin.blogspot.com .
